About Deron

Deron, a member of the New York and Georgia Bars, Deron is active in his church, and is dedicated to making a difference in his community, particularly as  a role model for youth and up and coming business professionals. Even as a youngster he was fascinated by the pace and excitement of the entertainment world–particularly its pop and r&b music components! This attraction, coupled with an analytical mind, led him to choose Entertainment Law as his life’s work. With a Juris Doctorate from Touro Law Center and a B.A. in Sociology from Queens College (where he was on the Dean’s List), Deron Tucker believes in the power of “good communication skills”. He also believes that a “win at all costs” approach to negotiations can sometimes be a deal-killer.

“I hope I can make a difference in someone’s life…either as a role model or by providing helpful advice,” he says.

Deron resides with his wife in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area. He also represents clientele in the areas of Estate Planning and Business Law.

In addition to being the owner/president of The Law Office of Deron Tucker, Esq., P.C. since 2000, Deron has been a featured speaker at Nassau Community College in New York where he made a presentation on the legal and practical aspects of the music industry. Deron has also written business advice articles featured in the urban hip-hop magazine “Mic” . Deron has also been a guest speaker/panelist at several high level music industry conferences  including the A&R Power Summit and the Advanced Music Seminar in New York.
